Abby and Landon's June Wedding at Knollcrest

Abby and Landon’s celebration this past June was a real joy. We created garden-inspired flowers for their traditional yet timeless family forward event, where no detail was left unnoticed.

Abby’s vision of crisp white and creamy neutral flowers, true greens and black accents (in the way of other wedding decor) came together effortlessly. We grew buckets of orlaya just for their celebration, foraged honeysuckle vines on the wilder corners of our property, and cut locally grown hydrangeas from friends. We knew we had to include classic American grown flowers— including garden roses— from California and Vermont grown peonies to turn Abby’s dreams into reality. We also provided all the candle decor, allowing for a seamless set-up for Abby and Landon on the day of their wedding.

Bouquets were crafted with feverfew, garden roses, larkspur, peonies, and the prettiest scabiosa we’ve ever ordered. We included wispy asparagus fern, rosemary and Carolina spice leaves to balance the neutral tone flowers. We loved playing with the vertical nature of the flowers and letting the scabiosa dance above the denser peonies.

June has so many lovely flowers, but not all of them are bouquet hardy. Luckily, we had many tables to craft lush compotes for: with astilbe, campanula, lacy hydrangea, orlaya, saponaria, and yarrow. Adding the honeysuckle vine for extra movement was the perfect finishing touch to these romantic centerpieces.

Seeing Abby and Landon on their wedding day was just about the best thing— they radiated pure joy! Everyone we encountered on their day seemed to know just how special the day was.

Going through their beautiful photos has been such fun, seeing such true happiness in every frame.

Best wishes to you, Mr. and Mrs. Huggins!
